When someone announces that they are expecting a baby, one of the first questions that people want to know is "What are you going to name him/her!?" There is significance in a name. Back in Biblical times, a person's name was more than just a name. It revealed that person's individual character and personal attributes. Did you know that there are over 200 Names of Christ in the Bible? Each of these Names of Christ shows us more about Jesus, His character, and what He has done for us.
Prayer Tip #5 - Pray the Names of Christ
"The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe."
- Proverbs 18:10
When the above verse mentions "the name of the LORD", it's speaking of the character of God. And how do we learn about the character of God? By examining His Names in Scripture! Each Name of Christ sheds more light on His many attributes.
For example, "As Elohim, He is Creator; as Yahweh, He is the covenant-keeping, eternal I AM; as El Shaddai, He is the all-sufficient, all-powerful, God Almighty; as Jehovah Jireh, He is our Provider; as Yeshua, He is Savior. He is the Good Shepherd, who leads, guides, and protects; He is the Lamb of God, who lays down His life for us; He is Jesus, the Incarnate Son and Christ the Risen Lord; and He is the eternal, glorious, highly exalted, King of Heaven! Psalm 8:1 rightly acknowledges, "LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens."

Praying the many Names of Christ requests that specific attribute of Christ over our lives. Do you need healing over yourself or a situation in your life? Pray to God, our Healer. (Jeremiah 17:14; 30:17; Psalm 147:3) Are you needing wisdom about a specific path to take or a next step in a situation? Pray to the Lord, Who is our Way and Truth! (John 14:6)
PRAYER POINTS- (Pray over these requests)
