Women's Prayer Team - Week #24
I have been so encouraged recently about how faithful the Lord is during the trials of life. I was reading through my devotions over the past few weeks and two common words have been "wait" and "patience". These two words are not easy to learn and implement in our daily lives but are so key to living a Christ-centered life.
I hope that you feel encouraged by reading these verses!
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find.
knock, and it will be opened to you."
Matthew 7:7
“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart.
Wait, I say, on the Lord!"
Psalm 27:14
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass."
Psalm 37:4-5
Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”
John 13:7
Prayer Tip # 24 – Pray for Patience and Waiting on God's Timing.
After reading these verses, I feel a sense of comfort during this season of my life. I have been in a season of waiting on God’s timing. Often, it’s difficult to be patient when you don’t want to wait in the first place. I have clung to these verses because He says that when we knock the door will be opened. He is the one who gives us strength in the waiting. If we trust in Him and continually follow His ways, then He will give us the desires of our heart.
Sometimes, I often wonder “Why”, why am I in this season of waiting. I then think about how He allows circumstances to happen so that we trust Him more. He does this so that we rely on Him despite our circumstances. He is still faithful in the waiting. It's better to be patient waiting on Him then doing it in our own strength.
I hope that this is a source of encouragement for you today! If you are in a difficult season, you are not alone. God is always with us and is always good!
Prayer Points: Please pray over these requests:
· God, I ask that You help me to be patient in all circumstances.
· God, I ask that You grant me peace and strength in difficult seasons.
· Help me to wait on Your timing.
· Help me to prayerfully seek You and read Your Word.
Dear Jesus,
Thank You for Your goodness and how faithful You are. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to die for our sins. God, I ask that you grant me patience in all things. I also ask that You allow me to be patient in seasons of waiting. God, during the waiting, allow me to serve You well. Thank You for Your word and giving me the opportunity to know You. I pray that You give me a boldness to proclaim Your name in everything I do. Thank You for who You are!
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Your Friend,
Stephanie Madore
